Have hardly seen any bluegills this season. Then again, their

population is not overly great in our reservoirs, either.

Have felt some machine gun taps a couple times, but no

catches.

Nice catches!

Nice mess of Gill's.

Them machine gun tap's didn't come from slabs like Largemouth21 has in the picture! Them big gill's take it purposely,, very slow,, very steady,, and for those that get quick on the trigger probably miss them,, on bait that is. I prefer flies for the big gill's,,, they leave no doubt, and slam it!

exactly right... always exciting to have a bull bluegill smash a top water Rapala when bass fishing. I'd like to take up fly fishing, it seems like a great sport to get into.

the trick is to find lakes hardly visited OR fished, that way the people who keep all the panfish they catch can't wreck the population. I rarely keep fish from my spot.

Nice catch.

I fried up some recently caught Bluegills with butter the other day and they were delicious.
