...I should fish these more?  I've been spoiled for years.  I fished GLX and NRX sticks primarily, along with a handful of other super light, stoopid fast jig and plastic sticks.  I've got rods out my ears, and it never ceases to amaze me how I can accumulate more.  Here lately, I find myself going back to my LTB rods and falling in love with them all over again.  Not necessarily ever rod in he series, but a good portion of them.  I pick up the 7-1 MHXF finesse jig rod, and it's like... well, like going home. The way it feels in hand, how ridiculously powerful it is.  How it balances so well with a Chronarch or Metanium.  I have CH50MG that sits on a 7-1 that is probably my all time favorite rod.  I was fishing out of a building died boat, during didn't grab everything out of mine that I wanted, so grabbed a handful of rods out of my stash and had totally forgotten how much I loved them.  The flip stick that is stupid powerful, does light enough to flip all day long. The big jig rod that I punch with...

Ever find yourself picking up those rods that you've never let go of, only to pick it up and remember why?  I just ordered another pair of rods because I realized how much I loved to fish them.  Anyone else do that, or is it forever onward and upward with the latest greatest?

Since I first picked up an LTB a decade ago, they've been my preferred rod. Lots of other nice rods out there, but I feel like the quality to value rate I get with the LTB lineup is the best going.

I have kind of the opposite experience - I started out as a Shimano guy but as I use other brands I've realized how much I really don't like the majority of the Shimano rods I've accumulated.  I find them to be a bit stiff and not fun to fish, with the exception of my Cumara 6'8" MXF dropshot rod.  Clarus/Compre/Crucial/Scimitar all seem a tad stiff compared to the Phenix and St. Croix rods I use.  For me it's been Phenix that's really struck home, followed by St. Croix, and though I only have one model, the Megabass Orochi Swingfire has been amazing to fish crankbaits on.

Ive bought a few Megabass and NRX rods over the last few years but I cannot seem to sell any of my old GLXs. The 5 MBRs and the 803 BCR.

I seem to drift a little on the rod front. And some of it

depends on my wallet, to be honest. That said, I've made

purchases (Legend Tournament Walleye) that were on

the over-my-budget-but-can't-resist-end, with the vast

majority settling in the $99-120 range.

Of those, I have loved the BPS Carbonlite range, but the

latest, a St. Croix Premiere 6' MLF rod is a current favorite.

Especially with the Ned rig becoming a staple of mine of

late. It fishes it well, in addition to wacky rigging, drop

shotting and so forth, all in my wheelhouse of techniques.

Though I'm hopeful I'll kick the addiction, I suspect I'll

rather succumb to another rod one of these days.

i've got some nice rods from dobyns dx, nrx, megabass.....  but my favorite rod i think i own is a daiwa tatula 6'10"MHF.  not even entirely sure what it is that makes me love it, but it'll do anything and do it pretty well and really feels great in my hands.

I've always preferred St Croix blanks over Loomis blanks.

I haven't done much backpedaling,

but my appreciation has grown for Powell & Kistler.

I have fished quite a few rods and I have found a company that I like.  That company just so happens to be st Croix.  I own dobyns, daiwa steez, fenwick and a few others.  They are a high quality rod that has yet to ever let me down and there made in America which is important to me.  Will I buy other rods yes, and do I still fish other rods yes.  Some rods/blanks are special.  My daiwa flexlite is one of those rods and every time I pick it up I know why I paid big bucks for it.  I don't take it out often because it is a niche rod that serves a special purpose.  I am in my first year of tourney fishing and I don't take it along ever.  Some rods just have it.... but most dont

Sometimes while browsing a Cabelas or the like, I pick up a rod I used to use: a Mojo Bass, Triumph, Gander, or Veritas. I'll hold it for a minute, give it a shake, relive a few fish.

Then I'll put it back on the shelf, drive home, and hug one of my Ducketts.

I'm so glad I bought them!

I've never managed to get past the Avid so I don't have far to fall back. Pretty happy right where I am.

THE avid is a great rod and the one i own the most of.  If its not for jig fishing then the avid will be in my hand.  Some people say they can feel a huge difference between the avid ltb and legend.  I can feel a little diffrence and i will pay for that when needed but not every rod needs to have that.  Guess i left my ego way back in my 30's.
