He could probably get to the basket at will against 7 footers back then too. I'm not a fan of some of his antics, but there is no denying his place in the sport as one of the best of all time. 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted May 19, 2017 Super User Posted May 19, 2017 LeBron doesn't even look like he is working hard either....i have been following the NBA for 30+ years and he is the best player i have seen play. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 Not looking good for Celts... as I type this they're down 50 - 22.... Oh well. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 What a joke. Should have just let the Spurs and Celtics play for a consolation trophy. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 Spurs could beat GS if Leonard didn't go down. The minute he went out they went on a what, 18-0 run? 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 I am not sold on GS but it also may be i am partially based to their exploitation of the rule changes. I mean you can't defend with an arm anymore, you can play zone defense, they cater to stars etc.... I still think Curry is overrated and in no way shape or form should have been the first and only unanimous MVP in NBA history. Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 d**n! I just turned on the tv and it's 72-31 to start the 3rd quarter. The only way I can see the Celtics making the Finals would be if the winner of Patriots vs the Browns decided who would go. 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 Number one seed playing with home court advantage just can't get it done. Quote

Finals will be excellent, especially if they go a full 7. Quote

Remeber though, about a month ago, Durant-less Golden State completely dismantled the Spurs IN San Antonio. But it's a pretty safe bet they would have lost game 1 had Kawhi not gotten hurt. I think the Warriors would have rebounded game 2 whether he was playing or not though. Quote

corn-on-the-rob Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 As a Cleveland native, the one question that has been resonating in my head for a while now is: If healthy, how long will LBJ keep playing? The way he has been unleashing during playoffs is mind blowing. It will be years even before he his below superstar status and just "great". I am along for the ride and I hope it is long! (I am still a little salty about "the return", it is like taking a cheating ex-girlfriend back... But, when she is out of your league, you take her back with open arms!) 2 Quote

Sure seems like he could play at this level for several more years, considering he is 32 and arguably playing the best basketball of his career. Maybe the best basketball of anyone's career lol 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 Not a LeBron fan by any means............but he is the most dominating player I have watched play on every level of the game. Shaq of course dominated in the paint, but LBJ does it from everywhere and anywhere he wants. 1 Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted May 20, 2017 Super User Posted May 20, 2017 The only thing regarding Lebron's years left is that he has played a ton of NBA minutes. Straight from HS, as an 18 year old, right into the 82 game season. Looking at others who have done it, the drop off comes around 35, and can be drastic. He plays a physical game, and is not shy about banging around, that certainly takes it toll on anyone. On May 18, 2017 at 11:15 AM, Dwight Hottle said: He has been that way since grade school.
