It's more common than you think. Won't hurt a thing but if you're put off by it contact st Croix. 

Few if any blanks are poker straight. That's why we build on the straightest axis. Ideally that todcwould be built with the curve pointing up letting the weight of the guides pull it straighter.

Get it replaced from wherever you bought it.

If you're saying that it won't affect performance then I'll probably just deal with it becuase it was an online order. Will forever bug me though.

Then call St Croix. They may send you a rod and you just return the defective one. Give them a call. I have never heard a bad word as far as their customer service.

Small bends are no big deal really even less if the bend is in the forward back direction.  Side to side bends could cause a blank to torque and cause fishing issues.  If its an avid or above i would call.  The rods made in the US should have good QA and you pay for that higher standard...
