Largemouth21 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Anybody know of anywhere where I can take my reels in to be cleaned and lubed? Quote
Onvacation Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Check the sponsors list. Delaware Valley Tackle. Tons of great reviews. 3 Quote

Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I'll be happy to take care of your reels if given the opportunity. If you send reels provide your screen name here to get 10% off labor. Let me know if you have any questions. 6 Quote
dwh4784 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Will your service loosen up a basically brand new Shimano Spirex? I bought it last year and it's incredibly stiff, just barely missed the return window or I would have just ditched it. Seems like a common occurrence with the cheaper Shimano's from what I gather. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 It depends on the actual cause. In the rare occurrence that that an issue can't be resolved for whatever reason I only charge a small diagnostic fee. 1 Quote

Last I heard Kevin was out of the reel service business but a quick Google search shows his business is back up and running. I have used him before and waited 6 weeks to get my reels back. I personally would never send them there again. Quote
bigfishbk86 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I'm sorry to hear that kickerfish. I have no ties to Kevin, but have always had timely service and reels come back working amazing! Unlike the time i sent 4 spinning reels to a board sponsor. I'll stop there to avoid the ban wagon! 1 Quote

No worries man. Kevin is a nice guy and a solid tech. I just wish he would have been more up front on turnaround time. It is just nice to have options... 1 Quote

I've heard some good things about your company and would rather support an actual small business than some place like Cabelas or BPS who just want to make money and dont actually want to help you...
