RedHeadAngler Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I ran across a new old stock Curado 200 g is it still worth paying it's retail price for this reel? Quote
Poolshark Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I personally wouldn't. And that's coming from one of the few that seems to like this reel. I nailed two for half price a couple of years ago. I think they are good reels, they cast well and will probably last. but I'd buy a citica I before I went backwards to a Curado g. I like the I series much better....just an opinion. But it I really depends on you and what you like. Quote
Kidflex Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 No. I bought a few new ones when they were current models for $95 a piece. Current models are way better, I'd go that route. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted January 3, 2017 Super User Posted January 3, 2017 Absolutely no. Improvements are made. Give a newer model a chance before you pay full price for an older reel. Even if it is unused. Quote
wdp Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I agree with everybody else. I have 1 Curado G. It's ok, but the newer I series Curado is much nicer. I have 2 of them. Heck, I like my older E series curados better than my G series. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted January 3, 2017 Super User Posted January 3, 2017 No and Im also one of the ones who didn't have an issue with the G. The I series is just better. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I don't pay full retail for much of anything. The G wasn't the most refined version but still a good solid reel. Some sellers are funny. There was a citica D in a case at a Walmart for years and every time I tried to get it all they'd do 10% off msrp, as much as the current model. Hold out or look for good second hand ones. Quote
