I need to ship a rod but don't have rod tube, how do i make one or how can i get one , I heard you could go to a bait shop and get one, so does cabelas or bass pro give them out, looking for those cardboard ones not the plastic ones

If you were close to where I live, I'd give you one. I have a stack of them in my garage. You put no information about yourself in your profile, so i don't know where you're at.

Go to your local home-improvement store and buy an 8 foot inch or inch and a half PVC tube with end caps. Rod should always always always be shipped in PVC.

7-8 feet of 2" pvc and 2 encaps will run you about $13

i would suggest a 3'' schedule 40 tube , any skinnier and it will flex ( bend ) , i have a 3'' sch.40 tube that is at least 1/4'' thick walling and is pretty indestructible , when Mike ( DVT) gets it in a week or so he can attest to that :lol:
