I bought a berkley digital scale at Walmart for $18. So far so good. Turns on every time and is easy to read.

I really like the Accu-Cull scale TW carries. There is also a cheap luggage scale that you can find on fleabay that gets recommended a lot for those on a budget. The Accu-Cull with a fish grip installed instead of the hook is an awesome setup though.

I do it by hand.  Works every time.  "Yup, feels like another 6 pounder!" :)

This seems to be the most popular way on social media fishing sites.

It's be best method, no doubt!  You don't even have to land the fish to weigh it.  If she get's off, you know it was at least an 8 pounder.

Had one of those moments with a buddy last weekend. Caught a nice bass that was 24 inches and we both thought it was in the 7-8lb range. Accu-Cull said 5.46; I had to double check my scale when I got home.

Lemme guess... Accu-Cull was weighing about two pounds under? :)

It was dead on, though my buddy stuck with his 6.5lb prediction.
