Ultimate match fishing isn't the worst show I've seen

Started to watch the show and I could def take it or leave it.   It seems like there hasn't been much thought to making it better.  

 

How id make it a good show to dvr 

1. Get rid of the stupid whistle and the guy who blows it. add a bell or something less annoying

2. Get rid of the sit down rule. It could be he dumbest rule I've heard of. Have them fish any actually get some good comebacks to make it more dramatic.

3 Display the weigh in!!! What kinda of fishing show just tells you the winner. Super anticlimactic. Display a running tally like in mlf but only keep your top 5. Adds to he drama. 

4. Get a better announcer 

thats all I got for now. What would you guys change

I like the show, I have no problems with any of it. It's one of the few I like enough to DVR.

I think you might be confused with Major League Fishing. They do keep the 5 biggest fish on Ultimate Match Fishing. The UMF show I watched just recently did keep a running tally but didn't post it. The announcers just told you what the tally was approximately. The sit down rule is in Major League Fishing. In UMF they just deduct weight from your catch.

MLF is far better. MLF may change how a lot of tournaments are done going forward. Thoroughly enjoy watching it and I'm an old timer. Good stuff.

I too like MLF and Ultimate match fishing.  Compared to the other #@!$ on TV it's pretty awesome.  Personally I would rather try and look at the positives of these shows....we're surrounded by too many negatives anyway.

I love mlf.If you tape all the shows it begins to make sense after awhile.I wish they would do a short segment explaining how all the tournaments relate.Kind of like a sports tournament bracket.As far as the format, I love it.

There are three shows I care to record. MLF, Zona's and UMF. MLF is awesome and I enjoy it a lot. Zona is just a great guy I can relate to and I watch UMF to see if anyone can beat Wheeler in that format.

I enjoy both shows, but I wish they would create an MLF match that drives toward pursuing large fish instead of numbers. Maybe one of the elimination rounds could be for only the top 5 fish and they electronically cull the smaller ones.

I record Dance and mlf only.I like the college tournament too .and hank parkers show.

The thing I like about the format is its more like the way an average fisherman would fish. Trying to catch as many as you can, finding a pattern and adjusting to changing conditions. That is a lot of what I do when I go fishing. Its also interesting that most of the anglers have never been on the water they are fishing. It adds a new element. Watching these guys put pieces together to form a pattern is amazing.

I've noticed UMF comes on later in the summer when all the other fishing shows are either in reruns or off the air, so I'm usually happy to watch it because its new and I'm really tired of all the other fishing shows by this time.  Also its only thirty minutes long so its packed with a lot.  I would like to see UMF go to one hour though.  I'm not a big fan of the announcer but he's tolerable.  UMF is good the same way MLF is good - you can see some people strike out or get crushed by others.

Really wish I could buy the past seasons of MLF, I don't have it on TV and love the show. Only watched a couple episodes on YouTube, all I could find.

I prefer MLF but I don't dislike UMF and there are only a couple things about UMF that I find annoying.  One of them is watching them flip the bass into the boat and flop around on the carpet.  The other is having TWO announcers.  Joe Thomas or Fish Fishburne by themselves wouldn't be so bad but why do they need both of them?  And they each get their own boat to follow the contestants?  Just silly...
