Currently, whenever I hit the lake/creek/river, etc, I always have all three of my rods and my tackle box. Unfortunately, the tackle box is the most troublesome to babysit while i'm wading out.

What do y'all recommend I invest in for waterproof storage? I can drop down to two rods to make it easier but I need something to get this tackle around in when I'm waist deep.

Any suggestions would be phenomenal!

A backpack if it's just for transport. If you need to get into it while you're wading, I use the waterproof boxes from Ozark Trail (Wal-Mart). They're in the camping section and around $10 for a decent sized box. Not going to carry a ton of stuff but you shouldn't need a ton for wading.

I use one of the little cheap bags that came with the Bassmaster subscription I got for a Christmas gift, then I put 2-3 Plano draining Stowaway boxes inside. That way if I happen to dunk it, the baits just drain off and dry. I've tried to keep everything from getting wet, but I've dunked enough to stop trying too hard.

I only take one rod. I still can't figure out how I would even carry two. I'm only really fishing for smallmouth in a shallow, slow-moving, VERY clear river, so a spinning rig handles my every need very well.

The fly fishermen have perfected this sort of thing for years.  Wear a vest, consider a chest pack or whatever suits you.  I wear a fly vest and it hold about everything I use for short wading trips.  If you get the right one it will have pockets big enough for small waterproof boxes.  Some of them are spendy though.

When wading I only carry one rod (spinning or baitcasting depending on my mood) and I carry all my tackle in a small over the shoulder tackle bag.  Specifically a Plano Crappie Fishoflauge bag.  Plenty of room for the limited tackle I need while wading and doesn't need to be water proof because I never fall in the water while wading.  Well, almost never.........

One rod/ reel    and a vest .I stuff the pockets with little tackle boxes and packs of soft plastics .It's a lot easier to move around with less gear to tote .

I use a sling pack that goes over one shoulder and swings out behind you while fishing. No waterproof boxes needed. Cabelas  has some great deals on William Joseph chest packs right now. If you are one of those who has to bring everything you own while wading, put a board across an inner tube, stack your stuff on it and drag it behind you.
