What do you all think is the overall most effective lure for any species any conditions. Wether it be bass, trout, cats, panfish, pike etc

bass trout panfish pike have all hit an in-line spinner such as mepps never caught a cat with one. Ice out to mid summer to ice on

x2 for In-line spinner.  Rooster Tail is my favorite.  And I have caught several catfish on them. :)

X3 Roostertail (white is my favorite). I've caught a 6lb bass and a 12lb cat on them. I don't know anything that won't bite a Roostertail. Sometimes I'll throw one just to see if the fish are biting. If they don't bite it's not worth fishing.

Curl tail grub, jig, and woolly bugger, sized appropriately, will catch almost anything.

My go to just want to get bit lure is an arkie sexee tail shad (Tennessee shad color).  Species I have caught or seen caught include bluegill, black and white crappie, red ear bluegill, perch, largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, carp, and catfish.  I like to their then on a 1/32 oz jig head so ultra light gear is required to get any casting distance.

I immediately thought Roostertail. My second pick would be a Beetle Spin.

Ya know, my first thought was a spinner as well. But then I think back to the last 2 years of discovering the Ned; and I know some are sick of hearing about it but I've caught bass, crappie, pickerel, brookies, browns, yellow perch, white perch, bluegill...basically everything that swims in my waters on them pretty consistently.

Ned rig. Not uncommon to catch many species on same bait in the same day here in the Midwest. Have caught LM, SM, Spots, Crappie, Walleye, Wipers/Whites, Catfish, Drum, Trout. I'm not sure there is a species that won't bite it!

My top 3 would be these I've caught bout everything on them. Other than that I've caught a lot of stuff on the little rebel crawfish and grasshoppers and  curly tail grubs and beetle spins also.image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Inline spinner, Beetle Spin, plain ol grub, small tube jig (crappie size), live minnow.

I've caught some crappie at the local reservoir on the Rat L Trap.

I've caught bluegill, redbreast, stripers and bass on the Rebel Wee Craw.

Agree on all counts.

Again, In-line spinner. I spent many hours throwing a Mepps in brass finish. I caught pretty much whatever was swimming with it. If I only had one lure, I would trust an inline spinner to feed me.

Rapala floating minnow,3f or 5f,small but effective.or a roadrunner.

Fished a Ned yesterday, caught largemouth, smallmouth, whites, warmouth, bluegill, walleye, catfish, and drum. It catches every fish that swims around here.
