mcorr Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 If I won the lottery it would be a new Ranger. If I inherited a small fortune it would be a Stratos. If all I've got is what I have now, I would put a bassbaby in lay-away at Wal-Mart. Otherwise I'm happy with my Hydra-Sports. Quote
syracuse28 Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Does anyone have any preferences for Alum hull or Fisher boats Quote
GamblerFL Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 I will start by saying to the guy above about the boat with the 25 hp on it. I have probably caught more fish out of jon boats than out of any boat I have ever owned. There is nothing wrong with any type of fishing boat. I have been in $40,000 boats and not caught a thing!!! A quick story for you... About 7 years ago I fished in a local bass tournament where there were 46 boats. I was fishing with a friend that had his Ranger. Just about all the boats there were large bass boats. We all lined up for a shot gun start and the boat next to us was an old 15 foot Cobia. The windshield was missing and there was a bass seat mounted on the front bow. The motor was a 1960's Evinrude 40 hp. We all took off and of course this poor guy was so slow he just waited for everyone to leave. At three in the afternoon we had our weigh-in. This guy and his friend pulled up and pulled the fish out of a large cooler. They not only won the whole tournament but they also won big bass. I'm sure he had won more money than what his boat cost. The bass don't care what you cast out of. For the boat question, I have a Gambler Intimidator and would buy another one. Quote
