Hey guys be down in Florida in about 5 days be down In Boca for a month roughly. Last year I never drove down I-75 towards the west coast at all, but I here there is some shore fishing along it as well as boat ramps? Didn't know if anyone could chive in on this.

I was down in Florida just chillen and drove around the area, and saw a ton of shore fishing and boat ramps.  The have like boat ramps everywhere you look. It is wild.

The alley has I think 2 recreational access points going in each direction.  I've tried them on casual trips from the shore without much success.  When I was a kid before the age of liability the entire alley was open to shore fishing. It was incredible. A lot of bucket sitting folks hit the floating docks on weekends.  Best bet would be very low light times of day I'd say.  Google southern drawl kayak fishing and Steve Gibson. His blogs have a lot of reports with useful info about fishing that canal system.

There are ramps all along the alley, unfortunately due to a chain of events, the water levels are ridiculously high right now. Big G reported a few weeks ago, that ramps along the alley were closed due to high water. I can't confirm if this is still the case, but from what I saw yesterday at the Lake, I'm sure the alley remains really bad right now.  Best of luck to you if you attempt to fish out there. The fish have scattered all over into the marshes. I'm sure airboaters can attest on how high the water is out there.

There are many ramp and rest areas along the alley in which you can fish.  That's the good news.  The bad news is that with these water levels fishing is about dead right now.  It will stay like this until the levels drop.  It will be at least several months.  They keep dumping water from the O.   This is the worst I've seen in 30 years. Winter weather was crazy this year.

Still kinda spotty. The changing winds and fronts moving through has a lot of these fish either lock jawed or in the thickest stuff around to get out of the wind. Wind has been stirring up the lake and it's hard to find clean water. When or if you are able the fish are definitely there. Nothing like it should be and can make for some weird fishing the rest of the year.

Funny, when water levels are crazy high here, fishing is great.  If the alley is out of the question I wonder about Markham park that runs along the north edge of the highway before you get to the toll booths for the alley.  It looks like it has a lot of different bodies of water, all landlocked and not connected to the water retention system?

They are all connected to the system through culvert pipes  and flood gates.  When they turn on those giant pumps all waters are connected, except small private ponds.  Markup park has several outlets that connect.

I had a pretty good day on Lake Okeechobee on Saturday. Caught 8 decent sized bass ranging from 15-19 inches. The bite was tough, and it took a bit to get dialed in to what they wanted. Slow moving ez swimmers near the bottom of the water column seemed to be the ticket. Other reports I read weren't quite as good.

Sorry can't speak for the Alley haven't been there in a bit.
