.Paxamus. Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Do yall like to pour your jig heads with brush guards in or do you like to glue them later? Thanks Quote
cadman Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Brush guards later. I don't believe you can get a good paint job with the brush guards in place. JMO Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 6, 2010 Super User Posted May 6, 2010 I've done it both ways, but prefer to install the brush guard after painting the jig. If installed while casting the lead then I would wrap the brush guard with painters tape prior to painting. MHO Quote
the crab Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 If you plan on tying the skirt then definitely wait. Gluing in the weedguard is the last thing I do. If you're using the skirt collars it probably doesn't matter as much. Either way you go you'll still want to have the head painted first. Quote
.Paxamus. Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 i have been using the powder paints on my shakey heads that I pour, but not tried them with my big jigs, what paints are yall using? Quote
