dam0007 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 sup guys may be buying a Rarenium this winter depending on the following answers... Have some questions. My take is this is one step above the Stradic, is that correct? Which Stradic? Ci4 or FJ? What's the difference between 2500, 2500S, 2000, 2000HGS, 2000sfb and 2000S??? Typically I would want Stradic Ci4+ quality minimum without going as high a Sustain. But would go over for right price... Thanks in advance! Quote
John G Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 It's the Stradic CI4+ with a better color scheme and I believe slower gear ratios. I like my 1000S a lot although I have not used it in months. S stands for shallow spool. HG stands for High Gear. C would be compact body. Right click to translate. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/reel/2816 2 Quote
Super User tomustang Posted October 27, 2015 Super User Posted October 27, 2015 Main difference will be the colors and rareniums will have slower gear ratios. I have a 2500S (shallow) and it has a little less capacity than a 1000 Quote
dam0007 Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Just scored a *** 2.0 spinning rod which I really don't need lol off BuzzedBait so looking to switch it up for the reel. Depending on the tip I'm prob gonna be using it as a 1/4oz spider jig and tiny T Rig presentations. Either 6/7# straight fluorocarbon or or 15# braid with FC leader. Any recommendations on reel from the lineup??? Quote

Dypsis Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 John made me buy a Rarenium last fall and have been very pleased. Great reel, I ended up getting a 2500 and its on a NRX 852 match made in heaven. It all purpose setup. I throw - drop shot, shakey head, weightless senkos, Ned rig, split shot. I have 20lb braid with 8lb sniper fc. Matt 1 Quote

Super User DogBone_384 Posted October 28, 2015 Super User Posted October 28, 2015 There is a way to translate with an iPhone but I don't know how. I use Google translate. It translated a Japanese Diawa manual for me enough to understand what I needed. 1 Quote
dam0007 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Felt. Do you or anyone else reading this have a Ci4 Stradic to compare drags. Say I went carbontex would it be same size? Quote
dam0007 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 What level is the Soare BB? Same as Symetre? And the Soare Ci4, Saros level? Quote
