pghgeorge Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 From my experience JDM sellers only sell JDM models. Note - The regular Rareneium model gear ratio is 5.0 The US model Stradic Ci4+ is 6.0 You can get a Rareneium with a 6.0 gear ratio - it would have HG in the model name. Hope this helps Quote
John G Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Okay I found it. I'm seeing a Stradic and also the rareneium, do they just also sell the USDM version? Okay I found it. I'm seeing a Stradic and also the rareneium, do they just also sell the USDM version? No. Quote
GoCougs14 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Okay so I'm pretty much set on the rareneium ci4+. Only thing that kinda worried me is the 5.0.1 gear ratio. I know there is a HG model but I can only find the 1000s. Do you think that'll be too slow? Btw I'm doing mostly shallow fishing. I definitely won't be doing any drop shorting in 40+ ft of water haha Quote

And with braid, you can get enough line on the reel, if you really need more drag, use the palm of your hand. My 6.6lber in my avatar was caught with a Stradic 1000FI in thick slop and timber. 10lb PowerPro + a leader. Quote
