I had really no one to teach me about these lures once my mentor passed on. I wasn't heavy into bass fishing back then. I try to explain things clearer or better so the new guy or gal can start using lures with success. Not everyone understands. I was like most of them I carried a few lures for decades and didn't know how to use them. Glenn with his early bass resource site taught me a lot.

I just want to thank everyone for putting up with me. I like to see everyone catch bass and enjoy this sport to the fullest.

I'm no pro or will never be one. I just enjoy bass fishing.

God bless. Bb

Don't forget some of you guys and gals have more knowledge than the newbies. With the newer equipment you guys leave me in the dust.

Great post.

It is guys like you that make the Forum the success it is.

Willing to share your knowledge and share your insights and suggestions with others.

We all have been where you were and I still look at some of my very old baits and wonder what in the world was I thinking when I bought them.

As Dean Martin used to say at the end of his TV show, "Keep those cards and letters coming."

Newbie to this site because it helped/taught me the most. Was away from fishing for 40 yrs., college, marrige, career, kids u all no the drill, finally retired to my lake front home and BR with all its members, Glenn and articles literally got me hooked up, I can't thank you the members of BR enough for all the info.

Who the heck is Dean Martin?

Just kidding.....I find it sad that some young folk may not know who he is or many others of his time .

I agree Bill is what makes this site so great.

And many others......just like you!

Bill,

Being older brings wisdom, sometimes lost on the younger generation. Sharing your experiences is priceless, keep doing it.

If it wasn't for guys like you and this site I wouldn't know how to fish. I just started last year and with all the knowledge this place has given me. I now feel comfortable enough to show other people how to fish. Thanks for the post and thank you to bass resource.

After typing it up I've learned not to hit the post button!

The only reason I have never received a warning point is because I keep my mouth shut too often.
