Green Trout Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 This is new line on the market, anyone ever use it? I am planning on using it for my frogs since it's black. Does anyone else know of any black-colored braid on the market? I am worried about the fish seeing my green braid and really want black braid. Quote
Smokinal Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 To be honest with you, black braid is going to show up better looking up against the sky than any other color would. But if you are insistant about using black, just run a black Sharpie up the first 6 ft of your line. 3 Quote
PAGreg Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 The seaguar smackdown is simply amazing. I have it in 65#, 40#, 30#, and 20#. Best braid I've used. Looking forward to trying it. Quote

This line is made for flipping and punching, that's why it's black. Quote

I understand that but he said he wanted it for his frog setup. I would think that looking up against the sky, black line would be the most visible line you could have. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted September 4, 2015 Super User Posted September 4, 2015 Professional anglers do just fine with green braid. Ish doesn't seem to have any issues. 1 Quote

Super User iabass8 Posted September 8, 2015 Super User Posted September 8, 2015 You guys are giving bass way too much credit to be able to distinguish line from grass/weeds...pick a color and roll with it. Its irrelevant. 1 Quote
Grantman83 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 The diversification is getting pretty crazy. I have yet to meet a braid that I had issues with. I assume they are trying to go the way of rods ala technique specific. It would be their wet dream if every angler had a specific line for a specific combo. Gotta have my flipping, cranking, top water, drop shot, spinnerbait specific lines etc... Quote
