He was real active in the community  to the family. I've spent d**n near every weekend the past 10 years fishing in Fox Lake. Supposed to retire next month Sucks.....

Very sad!  That job is hazardous to begin with, and add the recent anti-cop sentiment in certain circles, and now it's downright dangerous.  Prayers to his family, friends and co-workers, and hopes they quickly catch the scum who did it.

Tight lines,

Bob

Been following all day. I work for county and we had lock downs all over. This is so sad and my heart goes out to the Lt Gliniewicz's family. I hope they catch the guys that did this and bring them to justice. Hope all the officers involved in the ongoing hunt stay safe. Many heat issues for them today. Support for all.

Rest in Peace and prayers to him and everyone who has been through the ordeal.

Very tragic.

Until the culprits are caught and motive established, I'm not going to read anything other than a routine stop.

Obviously a situation near and dear to my heart. Got a lot of stuff I'd like to say about it but I'll just let it be.

RIP brother, we'll take the watch from here.

Rip lt. May God take care of you. Prayers sent.

So close to retirement. I heard stories about snipers going out one last time before heading home. And never coming back.
