Just got a daiwa lexa spinning rod

7'3ft medium heavy extra fast

Minima zirconia guides

The rod is light as a feather and was wondering what it could be best used for?

I originally got it for drop shots with heavier weights and lures.. but what are some other options for this bad boy?

Shakyhead and tube is what I would use that for.

Everything with a single hook from weightless worms to jigs. Spinning reels don't get backlashes, that rod can probably throw whatever you want it to.

Is the rod 10' long?  :eyebrows:

Or is it 7'(3') = 21'squared????

I have had the Lexa 721MLFS for a couple years now and I use it all the time for anything finesse from weightless 4" plastics to dropshots, shakey heads, spybaits, you name it. Small cranks are even within its purview. It's super light, and I've caught bream, trout, some pigs and even a 11.5 lb blue cat with it, no problem. I also always use ultra thin braided line and there is no sign of wear on those guides. It's a top-notch rod, especially for the money.

I have a Okuma 7'0 MH Fast spinning rod and I use it for everything other than crank's and spinnerbaits. I mostly throw unweighted t-rigs and wacky rigs, but i'm not afraid to throw anything not too heavy on it.

I'd throw a lot of stuff on that, including weighted and

weightless wacky, TX, etc.

About anything you want to use it for.

I'd use a rod like that for open water fishing, jerk baits, topwater.  MH for bass, I'd prefer for snook or redfish.
