Nashua Nev Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 We have some of the same problems around here at a few local ponds. Unfortunately most of it is legal , ethical is a different story. We have a family that comes down to a few small local ponds , a family of about 15 sometimes. they catch it they keep it. Usually they have a couple boats that they carry and then a bunch fish from shore. Between them they have easily taken 100 baitfish several times that i have seen them , as well as any bass and pickerel they catch, big med small does not matter. I cannot prove anything but i think they come the night before and drop a bunch of dog/cat food in mesh bags with one of the boats and then come back in the morning and fish it. As a guy that is up and on the water at 5am i see them them many Sunday mornings and they are gone by 7 am with full buckets and coolers. They are fishing out a couple of the smaller ponds in my area. Unfortunately what they are doing is legal, except for possibly the dropping of food for chumming, although that may be legal in NH. Too many nice bass i have seen taken. Assuming everyone over 16 has a valid license to fish. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 yup 15 people up to 5 bass each, Pickerel 10 fish each and baitfish 25 per person of each species up to 50 fish. who catches what is not know by me. everything seems legal , just not ethical, would be tough to prove any wrong doing. They are really having a bad effect on numbers of fish on several small ponds in my area. 2 Quote
