Allen Der Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I got a big spool of Big Game 12lb on sale this spring, have been using it this year and I think it's pretty good. last year I used sufix siege 12lb and I think I liked it better than the big game. Quote

Siege is also a good mono. There are a handful of them that are all pretty similar. They are usually the ones that run thicker then usual like Big Game Siege Trilene XL/XT ect. Quote
RB 77 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Good line for sure. I use Izor mono and braid and Seagar flouro for most applications (P Line for some), but always have some big game in my bag when saltwater fishing offshore. I know a few people that swear by this line! Quote
Joe H. Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I use sunline sniper on all my spinning and most of my jig and worm set-ups, but everything else I use big game. Without a doubt the best deal on line out there. Quote

I also prefer Sufix Siege to Big Game. By the way, you bear an uncanny resemblance to Al Lindner Roger Quote

*Hank Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I am not saying it is bad line at all. I use to be able to get the 1lb spools at DSG at the beginning of the season for $20 but they no longer carry the big spools. I found that if I went out fished every weekend at my local reservoir for about 6 hours both Saturday and Sunday, the line would last on the two setups I was using about 3-4 weeks. I used either 10lb or 12lb. One set up was for soft plastic and the other for crank baits. The more I casted and used the line the faster it would fall apart. The pic below is what I experienced but it is from another forum. Hmm interesting, same thing happened to me with Big game! Quote
