As I've stated on another thread in the "Fishing Tackle" forum, I've become addicted to tying big and small bucktail jigs. I used to toy with custom painted crankbaits and catch some fish but these are the first lures that I have just flat out crushed big fish on that I built from start to finish. It's a lot of fun to see what I can come up with.

Those are some great ties! Incorporating the hackle feathers into the jig gives it a nice fluid motion underwater. I also really like your placement of the crystal flash in the jigs. The different colors of bucktail also add a dimension to your jigs. Very nice!

Yep, those are some beauties there CJ.  Works of art.  You're really making me want to get back into making my own lures and jigs :)

Dang dude! Those are beautiful! I've used bucktails for stripers but I've been wanting to try some for bass too. If you need someone to test those in Maine waters, just let me know!

Those look terrific! I wish I had the hand for tying bucktails, I think some tiny craw imitators would be killers on the smallmouth in a couple of our lakes.
