She doesn't want pearls, or diamonds, or a restaurant... She wants to know that you and her can still laugh and have fun together. Take her to a cabin on a lake fishing if she likes, or to the smokie mountains, camping, canoeing, rafting, something memorable that you both have enjoyed together. Redo the honeymoon, or take the one you always wanted. Take her dancing at a hole in the wall somewhere. I hope I helped. You're a good man. 1 Quote

We take so much for granted throughout our lives and in our relationships and we don't realize the effort other put into making our life what it is. So, my vote goes to a hand written thank you card thanking her for the way she has raised the boys, and the impact she has had on your lives. Maybe include a picture of the first day of kindergarten and the recent grad picture. Then a candle light dinner with Raider in the jerky aisle at the Stop N Shop, and she will realize how good she has it. 2 Quote

Turn Junior's bedroom into her own personal space for her as a hobby/craft room or simply a female version of the "man cave". Not only does it give her a place to retreat to, but you won't have to worry about the kid wanting to move back home after college until he's 35 years old! 1 Quote
