You guys could all be suckers. Maybe he's the one that's being facetious?

I don't know what you're talking about.

That could very well be true. However, with some of the questions I see on here, nothing surprises me.

I got a left handed quarter pounder at McDonalds once. I know it was a left hander, because as soon as I put

it in my right hand, I dropped it. I only go to Arby's now. Arby's is the G Loomis of roast beef.

So tired of putting my lefty Steez on a right-handed rod. Everything feels out of whack. I need to source a good top-shelf lefty rod...7'2" ML M-S glass for bottom bumping.

Thoughts?

I realize you have taken a lot of guff for this post. But all I want you to do is pick up a rod, without the reel, and look at it. Hold it in each hand and pretend to cast and perhaps perform some "jig" movements. Then think about the geometry. Fishing rods are symmetrical therefore theoretically there is no such thing as a "left handed" rod. I suppose you can have a custom handle installed or a custom rod built with a handle that fits you better but the reality is any mass produced rod will essentially be ambidextrous.

It's very easy to convert a right handed rod to left handed. You simply have to rotate the entire reel seat / grip assembly 720 degrees to the right. Yes, to the right. Trust me on this.

You'll need a container tall enough to completely submerge the entire handle assembly. Take this container to the supply shop and get it filled with steam. Make sure you have enough steam to cover the entire handle assembly.

Soak the handle in the steam filled container until ice crytals form. The simply rotate 720 degrees.

Make sure you perform the operation on August 13.

Hahaha...I thought everyone was on board. I'm not lefty, don't own a Steez, and get bored and like to have fun conversations with strangers.

It don't get much stranger than this group! Hehehe.

It was satire from the get go.

You'll find that the membership here is routinely game for this and will usually entertain it - - for a while.

I will warn you however,  that starting one of these in the dead of winter, can be a risky proposition . . .

I never understood why folks roll with a RH baitcaster and then their spinning setup has the crank on the left. In what universe does this even make sense? If you are currently doing this, you are as screwed up as a soup sandwhich.

So you're not only bashing the classic spinning reel, you're saying you don't care for a good vegetable beef sandwich?

I like soup sandwiches. My favorites, nicken choodle, or nurkey toodle.

I've never understood how the people at Chinese restaurants eat soup with chopsticks. Even salad for that matter.
