Ok, I'm going to give a Ghost a try but I'm not sure wether to go with a 7'3 MH or Heavy for pitching 1/2oz. jigs and soft plastics around docks and laydowns. I have used a Veritas 2.0 MH and it is just right for what I want. So how does the Ghost compare? I know it's supposed to have a much softer tip but does that mean a MH ghost might be too soft for pitching jigs?

I agree, go with the Heavy. Sounds like you're fishing heavy cover. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

I have a 7' MH ghost and have been tossing 3/8oz jigs and trailers. If your going 1/2oz or up I would highly rec you consider the heavy action. Overall good rods for the money as I have been pleased with both of mine so far.

I have, or should I say had a 7'3 Heavy Ghost and was using it for jigs. I had it for about 2 years and really liked it, until the first 13" snapped off on a hookset last weekend. If you can swing it, bump up to the Micro Magic Pro, or even the  old Micro Magic. The older Micro Magics can be had on auction sites for $109-115 brand new.

Has the Duckett Ghost even been out for 2 years? And did you contact Duckett about your snap? I'm almost positive they'll help get you a new one.
