Uncle Rainey Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Hello everyone, new guy from central Florida here. A little town called Webster to be exact. Its about an hour north of Tampa and an hour west of Orlando. Been bass fishing pretty much all my life starting out at a young age with my Dad who was an avid fisherman. I am not too far from many of the big known lakes here in Florida which are well known for bass fishing, (George, Butler, Kissimmee, Walk on Water) I hit them from time to time but mostly I like smaller lakes and ponds in the local area that I can hit and catch a few without much trouble. I enjoy the quiet and relaxation of fishing most of all. My go to lure of choice is the rubber worm, I use Senko from time to time but my favorite would have to be the ribbon tailed worms made by Culprit. I like a spinner bait also when the time is right and I don't shy away from the top water plug when the sun goes past the horizon. I try to fish at least once a week and some weeks dependent on the schedule with the family i'll fish three or four times. I am a member of the Army National Guard and I work full time for the Department of Defense so I get to do a lot of traveling. With Fishing, my job, a wife and four kids I am a busy man. Been reading many of the articles and browsing around the forums and I must say this is a great website. I cant wait to read more and hopefully make some new friends and learn some new tips and techniques. Quote
