BIG M Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Here are some of standare flatsides, top bait is 3/8" thick. The bottom bait is my first subwalker. Quote
Stringjam Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Beautiful looking color mix on that top Petey! The walker looks very cool, too - - interested to hear how that turns out! Quote
whittler Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Great baits, great colors, especially like that second bait color combo. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted December 6, 2008 Super User Posted December 6, 2008 they look great! something to think about: if you make a horizontal tailfin out of lexan or something similar, and install it in the tail of the bait, it will really help to stabilize the bait and keep it horizontal when walking it under water. thats something i just learned on tackle underground, and i just thought that was really cool! i was thinking of making a sub walker with a tailfin after reading about that. DADto4 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Big M, Ok now that the "showing off" has riddled us all. When are you gonna release an instructional video! ;D I'll buy it Your paint jobs are nearly perfect..do you sell these? Or just do them for yourself? I still am too ashamed to show my repaints, although they are getting better! Quote
BIG M Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Dave, I'm going to use a dressed treb on the tail and that will help keep it stable. I have not tried doing fins or tails yet. Dad, keep practicing and you will be painting like a pro. Get a pack of those cheap baits from Janns and just keep repainting them over and over. Quote
