Super User new2BC4bass Posted April 11, 2015 Super User Posted April 11, 2015 Where can I find them at a discount on a regular basis? It can't be a one time, or once a year deal, as I usually find myself short of funds whenever that happens. Seems I somehow acquired a few new reels over the winter, and now need to pick up a new rod occasionally to even things out. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted April 11, 2015 Super User Posted April 11, 2015 I think the only way that goes on sale is for a regular holiday deal with 10% or 15% off. I tried to find a sale on them before I got mine and just bit the bullet and paid full price but I'm thinking of adding another topwater rod. I wish Cabela's would get more in stock, every time I go there they either have 4 models which aren't what I'm looking for or they have zero. I think the closest sale you will find is TW's memorial day sale, sorry I can't help Dale. Quote
Jolly Green Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Gander has them with a $20 rebate at the moment. Quote
Longo Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 This is one of the few times I'd recommend Gander. The $20 rebate is a good deal. I bought the 3 that I have off of Ebay. Quote

Heading south next weekend, so I wasn't considering buying one today. After I get back, yes. May have to take advantage of it anyway. Have a few other items I could get at the same time. Thanks. The $20 is a good enough discount for a rod of this price to justify a purchase. I hate paying retail. It is on back order. Maybe I'll pick up another model next month although there are a couple other rods I might try first. Quote

Longo Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Guess you have to wait for the rod to arrive, and the rebate offer will arrive with it? No rebate from eBay but still in the $80-85 range. Not bad for a $100 rod. Rarely do they ever go on sale. Quote
