MikeOGNR Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Has anyone ever used this program to just print out contour maps instead of using it on the GPS. I do not have a fish finder and use lake maps pretty often to narrow down fishing spots. I would like to start taking out paper maps to know roughly where to go on the water. Seeing if anyone has any feedback to this. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 I do occasionally for teaching purposes and for map update comparisons, but not for use on the water. Hotmaps is a Navionics product and the maps can be viewed on the Navionics web sites's Web App. This is one of them: Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 If you have a smartphone, you can have the Navionics maps on it. There is an Apple App and Android App. You can use the GPS the phone has so show your position on the water. I have an App on an iPad, two Android tablets, and some Android smartphones. Quote
