Gander Mt is having the Lexa 100 on sale for $69.99 and Cabelas has the MG for $79.99.

Which is the better buy? Should I just wait and upgrade to Curado I which I do plan on buying regardless buying or not buying one of the two reels.

They're both pretty much equal. I've owned both models and one wasn't any better than the other. Pick the one that feels the best to you in your hand and if possible mount them on your rod to see which one balances out better.

I would think about what you want to do with it. The lexa models have a higher gear ratio and IPT than the MG models available. If it were me I would grab the Lexa. The rods are on sale for half price, too along with e-gift cards for both. I just talked myself into the 6.4:1 Lexa and the lexa trigger grip 7'7" cranking rod. There goes another $120...

If you are going to get a curado I, just put that money towards the Curado. I've learned the hard way, just because something is on sale doesn't mean you have to buy it(unless you were planning on buying it anyways).

Yes I plan on getting the Curado I once spring comes closer but can't seem to past up a good deal though.
