Hello, I'm Frank (Dogmatic), new to the site, since my old "general bass fishing" site went belly up. Need a place to ask questions, get advice, and just learn and stay in touch with the sport, especially during these "hard water" months. Thanks, and look forward to getting to know the site better. F.

Welcome Frank! I must know what lure is that in your profile picture, the bait monkey pointed it out to me. You'll get to know the bait monkey personally very soon....  :eyebrows:

Hello to all, & thanks...The swimbait in my avatar, and one of my favorites is the elusive(because it's no longer produced, although there are some whispers that might change) Baitsmith 5"shad. They pop up here there occasionally(and when they do, you will probably be bidding against me.) ; )

haha how much do they run for now? It looks very realistic

I know Baitsmith has gone under reconstruction and now is know as Smithbaits and they have created the Smith Baits Swim and Jig swimbait which seems very similar to their Baitsmith 5" shad... is it the same thing? Check it out on TW

Weld's...1st: price, too much, last one I snagged(used)for $35, and I got off easy. 2nd: Yes, Guys from Baitsmith became SmithBait, and they produced the Heavy shad for awhile but I'm not so sure it's still in production. They are still producing the Magnum Trout,(great bait), and 6 in.shad in very limited quanities special order, "gotta know someone" kinda thing (and have lots o'money), but no 5" shad.

Frank, great having you with us.

Southeast Pennsylvania?

Flyers fan?

Visit Upper Darby or Springfield on a regular basis?

Go by the airport every day?

Just wondering.
