Green Trout Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 If I'm looking to get a lot of bites but not necessarily big fish, would a shakey head be a good choice? I am planning on putting the Z Man TRD on them. Any Advice would be appreciated. Quote
Smokinal Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Shakey head, drop shot or a senko will probably give you the most bites. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 11, 2015 Super User Posted February 11, 2015 Actually, If you want a lot of bites go with live Nightcrawlers. 1 Quote
Super User gardnerjigman Posted February 11, 2015 Super User Posted February 11, 2015 Shaky head head will get you a lot of bites, if fished in the right area. Don't let people fool you though... It doesn't just catch small fish. 1 Quote
Jon G Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I get more bites on a shakey head than a senko rigged any of the numerous ways. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 11, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 The TRD is tiny to rig on a shakyhead. I like the shakyhead for lots of bites, but I'd just go with a regular finesse worm or trick worm. 1 Quote

Super User smalljaw67 Posted February 11, 2015 Super User Posted February 11, 2015 There are a lot of good worms to use on a shaky head, a TRD needs to be put on a small jig head with an exposed hook, it is a super finesse presentation. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 11, 2015 Super User Posted February 11, 2015 My go to trailer has been the GYCB 6.5" Kut Tail, but last year I discovered the MegaStrike MegaTube Craw which was KILLER! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/124624-megastrike-tube-craws/ Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 What will get he most bites depends on conditions, therefore changes daily. A shakey head works well on a clean hard bottom when the fish are bottom oriented. Not that you can't get reaction bites on the fall but a lot of baits can do that. Quote
