I have a few of them. Great reel for the money. Buy with confidence!

Ardent is a real sleeper brand. The Apex line of reels is awesome for the money. People don't like them because they're made in China, but they perform, period. There are other great brands out there. Ardent is one of them.

As bad as it sounds, people actually didn't like them because they were made in America. More expensive, less smooth and less refined than others. Since going to China, their product seems to have improved dramatically. I would actually use the apex line(China made and cheaper) as opposed to the elite line (us made).

I have to agree with you.

I agree with both of you. The Apex line is very good for each price point. I'm very happy with my purchases.
