anyone use these? thinkin about adding one to the arsenal. looking at the rosewood as well. J2 looks like a really good rod for the money

Just apply for their pro staff. They let anyone on and you can get their rods dirt cheap. I know this because my cousin is on it. I have held the J2's and Rosewoods. Every single rod they have is heavy and doesn't balance very well IMO. I wouldn't even buy one at their pro staff pricing.

I don't recall ever hearing anything positive about this line of rods except from members of their

"pro staff" trolling the varioius forums.

I haven't tested one out myself so no experience.  They do look ok and I've seen a lot of reviews.  If the price is right I'd give them a chance like everyone else.

Curious after seeing the post about trolling, maybe it's their prostaff?

Several months ago we were targeted as well. As a result their prostaff is still allowed to

"respond", but NOT allowed to initiate threads here. If one of the guys responds on this

thread that is perfectly fine.

I had a couple of the old jadewoods and a couple koverts and they were just ok. After using them I don't really see what the hype is all about. Needless say I've switched to another brand but I did end up keeping the jadewood shakeyhead spinning rod.

I have several jadewoods and a couple rosewoods I got used but in good condition that i have yet to use. No issues at all with jadewoods, and to me they are good rods. My rod experiences of brands is limited. Started with Pretty cheap rods at wallyworld, to picking up a couple mojo rods and a veritas. I like them too but i noticed i gravitated to using more Denali rods. Maybe sometime i will be able to expand my rod selection and try some other "better" stuff but for now, they work well

Well, I have mixed feelings on this one. I fell for the hype last year and bought a Denali Kovert 7'8" X-Hvy flipping stick, sight unseen, my normal rods, which I love are Duckett White Ice models and I flip with a 7'9" X-hvy White Ice, When my Denali Kovert came in I was pretty upset I just spent the money on it. It was VERY heavy, unbalance and VERY tip heavy. I was not happy at all. Compared to the duckett it was like picking up a tire tool when you were use to holding a pencil.  While out on the water one day I wanted to start flipping buck brush and once I went into my rod box, I remembered I had loaned out my Duckett and the only rod in the box was the Denali. I took it out and went to flipping. After fishing with the rod that day and hooking a few good fish, I must say, I like the rod a lot better. Yes, it is still VERY heavy but the blank is nice and it has a soft tip that load's up well. This one trip made me keep that rod and I now use it to fish with some. It still isn't close to my regular flipping rod but if you can find it for $100 like I did, I would say it is well worth that price.

The only Denali rod I see that gets quite a bit of praise that at least seems to be legitimate is the Michael Murphy Jerkbait rod. It's a Rosewood. Maybe I'm just aware of lots of compliments right now because I'm jerkbait rod shopping this winter.
