Nor should it stop the questions.  Sometimes active threads can venture off into areas we didn't think about initially, allowing us to make connections and comprehend more clearly.  If everything was at our fingertips the forums would be a much less lively place.

There are tons of repeat questions on this forum (and on most forums for that matter).

It seems there is always someone whom answers the same way to popular questions and it goes something like this.....  "That question has been asked a million times.  Why don't you learn how to use the search engine?"

My thoughts on this is, sometimes it is nice to just discuss it in your own words and share your thoughts on your specific situation and politely suggest to check out the stickies.

X2 95% of topics on here have been covered at some point in time but with out repeat questions there wouldn't be many active threads. Plus there's always someone giving a new suggestion or advice.

If the moderators pinned every "definitive" thread we would have to go to page three for new posts! Senko lover a couple of years from now your new definitive list will be much different from this one. While there are some of us still using the same gear and techniques from the seventies, for most it is an evolving process. A big part of the fun of fishing is experimenting with new gear and methods in my opinion. Another big part is discussing all that here. I like your enthusiasm. Keep up the good work!
