well it was a cold rainy day with 40 degree water but I got my first fish for 2015, happy New Year everybody!

Thanks, I have a lot of confidence in that presentation. Below is a snapshot from my AquaVu of the bottom in the spot where I caught that bass. I figure a dark colored jig like that can be seen from quite a distance against that bottom color.

Ugh, I was fishing today in the rain as well. I'm located in South Jersey. Got skunked...

 

That rain was pretty brutal but I was able to get out of that breeze. That's winter fishing, I only got the one bite in five hours. I had the jig motionless on the bottom for at least 30 seconds and she just picked it up. Second biggest thrill of the day was the car heater on the drive home. :)

yeah the only reason i had to call it was because i went to the other side of the lake and it was frozen over. I said screw it. I'm going to get back out there tomorrow and see what what happens. I'll try your jig paused for 30 seconds method.

Fished today. Caught one bass and a couple pickeral. Bass was caught on a black/blue chatter bait along with some of the pickeral. 

 

btw, i used to live in maryland. Where did you fish turtle?

Nice fish, I would be ecstatic with a fish half that size right now. I'm going threw bass withdraw, haven't wet a line since fall
