This is that first day of the New Year. That wonderful day you start making all the phone calls.

Calls to apologize, for all the stupid things you did last night. The embarrassing things you

said, and did. You drank to much, you acted like a jerk, Probably broke some furniture in the

process...."Oh the humanity". Oh well, have a nice day guys...lol.

No, we stayed home last night.

Partying over a date got old many years ago.

And Hootie, you know you are getting old when the things you like to do become a hassle.

Happy New Year!

I know of at least one member that lost at a drinking game and part of the bet was the loser had to go streaking. Apparently there's pictures but I haven't seen them, nor do I have any desire.  :worried:   I'm sure some of the other KC area guys can probably guess who it was.

Today Is the Day.

Starting in 2015, my wife & I have decided that we're going to start celebrating the start of each season instead of the start of the new year.

Simply because there will be more of them left, we're hoping anyway.

So Happy Winter 2015

Partying on New Year's Eve has lost its appeal to me, I guess.  Especially since I'm single this year... it's kind of uncomfortable standing there by yourself at a party when the clock strikes midnight!

So I stayed home and had a quiet evening.  When I got up this morning (feeling just fine!), I got out my new brand new Daiwa PXL-R and Kistler KLX Finesse rod, tied on a Z-man 1/15oz. Ned head with half a Senko on it and tried some lawn fishing.  I can say that's the first time I've ever done THAT on New Year's morning.  It's 21* out and there's not much snow left, and all I caught was a small pine tree.

Beats the heck out of a hangover.  :-)

Tight lines in the new year,

Bob

No apologies needed there. Great way to start the year. Unless you're Raul. Then you get to fish.

Stayed home last night and watched "The Twilight Zone" on TV.  I got tired on drinking until I puke, and killer hangovers, a long time ago.

I haven't gone out for new year's eve since the turn into 2000....I did get to continue my annual tradition of going out fishing on new year's day though....

Saw some fish stacked up in about 13 feet of water so i positioned my self to let the wind push me along and ended up catching this guy and two others....not big but still fun.

I drank some tea and watched part of The Civil War narrated by Ken Burns. I made it to 12:15 AM before calling it.

Wild night.

Ended the year catching a bunch of fish and started the year going out with the wife for dinner.  (hadn't done this in years)  Also spent some time reminiscing about our daughter we lost this year and had some wet eye's.

Bittersweet indeed, nothing else to say.

I didn't know about that Oregon; I'm so sorry to hear. May this year bring another step of healing to you and your wife.
