I am trying to determine which reel would be best suited for which application.  both are on a 6'10" MH/F daiwa tatula rod.

Reel #1 is a Lew's BB1 7.1:1

Reel #2 is a Lew's Tournament Pro 7.1:1

I want to use one of the reels for Spinnerbait/Buzzbait/Chatterbait and the other reel as a dedicated jig reel.

given the reels and the applications, which would you use?  You can comment or vote or both....

Since both rods are identical and both reels are of the same gear ratio, I feel that they both can be used for the same things. I might be missing something, but i think that the choice would really be based on which set of techniques you use most. Pair that with the reel that you personally feel is more most comfortable in your hand (because you'll be holding it more often) and choose your line accordingly.

Just out of curiosity... Do you own all the combos already, or are you considering purchasing them?

I agree with Tony ^

Both reels are so similar and same gear ratio so id just use the one that feels better to you for the techniques you fish more...

I'm kind of thinking it's splitting hairs really, but didn't know if one would be better suited for pitching vs. the other....
