crankbank Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Hi Guys, Anyone have experience with this particular rod? I have an opportunity to purchase one for $200 (Brand new). Currently, my main jigging rod is a Powell Endurance 704. Is it worth adding this to the arsenal or is it too similar to the Powell? Any help is much appreciated. Quote
ChrisWi Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I would, sounds good for finesse jigs and lighter wire jigs, also the shorter length would be nice for pitching docks! 1 Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 I have the same rod in a GLX and love it. $200? Grab it before it escapes. Hootie 1 Quote
John G Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 The Hookup Tackle has the Rep Sample 804GLX for $299.00 w/free shipping. I would be looking for change in between the cushions on the couch and under my truck seat and selling one of my wife's handbags to come up with the $99.00 to buy the GLX over the new IMX. 2 Quote

Super User Tywithay Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 For that price, it's probably worth it. I think the Endurance is just as sensitive, if not a little more, in my hands. Don't know if that changes anything. A short rod like that will make it tougher to get solid hooksets in cover, but it has its place. 1 Quote
