Ozark_Basser Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Who makes the most durable matte finish powder coat paint? And where do I get it? Quote
starcraft1 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Pro-tech has all you'll need. To get a mat finish don't use as much heat and you'll have a power finish instead of the glass type finish. Then put in the oven at 200 degrees instead of 245. Play around with it and you'll get it the way you want. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 2, 2014 Global Moderator Posted December 2, 2014 Harbor Freight sells a few different colors of powder paint way cheaper than Pro Tech. The black is a matte finish that I use on a lot of my baits and is very durable. 4 Quote

starcraft1 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Thanks for the info on Harbor freight. I'll do some checking today. I'm heading down the hill for a new train calender and other odds & ends across the street from them. Thanks again Quote
dopey Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I have pro-tec but have been getting away from it. I've been using Columbia Coatings and Roseys powder also have some Orbit. I've mixed the different brands together with no problems. Rosys is have a 50%, 25% and $3.25 specials - http://www.roseyspowdercoating.com/ Orbit http://www.orbittx.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=54 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Posted December 5, 2014 Columbia coatings is where I bought mine. They run sales and I bought a pound of matte black for like $15 shipped. Allen Quote
