Fisher-O-men Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 How come nobody has mentioned the Chargers? Oh yeah, because they are playing like the Chargers! Hot or cold, but now mostly cold! I thought they could beat the Rams, but after the Rams humiliated the Donkeys, I wonder! Quote
Missourifishin Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Chiefs should make playoffs. Super Bowl however is unlikely. ^^^What he said. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 19, 2014 Super User Posted November 19, 2014 You're on top of GB in the division....due to a GB divisional loss to your Lions in week 3. I'd say you look pretty good, at least more than a prayer's chance anyway. I've been a devoted Lions fan before their last championship in 1957. One positive thing is that the WCF curse has finally ended, all of us old time Lions' fans know what that is. They may be on top of GB today but what will tomorrow bring, still some tough games to go. That division could possibly be decided over GB playing both New England and Detroit @ Lambeau, while Detroit plays both N.E. & GB on the road. My heart is with Detroit, my money would be on GB, lol. craww Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 As much as I'd like to see Dallas make a run, I just don't trust the secondary. Green Bay looks like the class of the NFC at the moment, but they've struggled with physical teams in the past. In the AFC, I'd love to see Brady make another run. Don't care what happens in that conference but its fun to watch somebody THAT good. His arm looks stronger now than 10 years ago. That said feel like people are sleeping on the Chiefs. They can run the ball, and have some talented guys on defense, and Alex Smith is going to protect the ball. I would not be shocked if they sent one of the top seeds home in the playoffs. Quote

That's when the handwriting was on the wall about the Charger's future. I see them losing the rest of their schedule. Hope I am wrong. Way too many good teams to get through to the Super Bowl. Quote

One thing I can tell you for certain about the Chiefs. Never bet on them, or against them, they will make you a looser more often than not. Being a fan for 40+ years I have resigned myself to the fact that a perfect season for the Chiefs is beating the Raiders and Denver at least once each. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted November 20, 2014 Super User Posted November 20, 2014 If Andy "Hey let me apologize for X this week" Reid would realize he has a younger version of Gronk in Travis Kelce, they would be SO much better. Quote

Seems like they are starting to use him more, don't know if that is more of Smith or Reid. Seems like in the offense they run, short passes and heavy run, a good tightend would be a natural choice. I have not paid much attention to his blocking maybe he is still in the learning process. Quote

Granted kelce has the only receiving TD's for the team this year(aside from fiasno's look what i found a couple weeks ago), just watching the play calling for KC is such a head scratcher. Quote

See that's where I am confused also (play calling) is it Andy not running plays for Kelce or Smith not getting him the ball. I think with Reid's apologies one would naturally think it was him, but is he just taking heat for Smith not getting him the ball? Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Believe Andy Reid calls the offense of plays for the team. There's been a couple games for whatever reason Andy Reid only use Jamaal Charles for 11 touches that doesn't fall on Alex Smith. Alex Smith is not a downfield pastor he's much more of your traditional dink and dunk so kelce not getting the ball i assume falls on reid Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 I run Kelce as a flex TE 2 in fantasy team. He should be putting up numbers, but doesn't get the opportunity. I thought he'd be my #1 TE, but Olsen is out producing. Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Never bet on them, Never bet against them. Poorest I have seen them play since week 1. Quote
Missourifishin Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Terrible pass interference call decided tonight's game. Oh well. Leave it to the Chiefs to beat a good team, and then lose to an 0-10 team. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Kelce worked out OK for me. Jones outscored his projection. Good game, lol. 1 Quote

I told my wife I was going to watch the Chiefs lose before the game even started, they did not disappoint. At least that loss should squash any of the crazies from talking about how they're going to win the Super Bowl 2 Quote

Maybe a wildcard spot, but they still have the Raiders, Denver, San Diego and Pittsburgh to think about. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted November 24, 2014 Super User Posted November 24, 2014 Giants are going on their year end run starting this weekend. Took until the 3rd quarter for the real Eli we all love to come out, lol. Hat tip to Beckham for that catch. I hope he's ok. Seemed off his game after that hit that sent him to the locker room. 1 Quote

I hope he's ok. Seemed off his game after that hit that sent him to the locker room. I almost got violent when he threw that interception! A 20 - 10 game or 28 - 10 game at that point if he didn't miss that WIDE OPEN play. The rest was brutal to watch ... We have no "Front 7"! That OBJ catch was absolutely amazing! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 24, 2014 Super User Posted November 24, 2014 Refs were making me violent. Officiated the 1st half on their knees, kissing Giant butt. Dallas D will simply wear down O-lines. Slow and steady, stick to assignments. Quote
