Super User *Hootie Posted October 21, 2014 Super User Posted October 21, 2014 Where can I buy distilled water for my non-maintenance free trolling motor battery? I have checked Walmart in my area, "Cincinnati", they don't have it, checked grocery stores, no go, and local auto parts stores. NOBODY carries it. Could I just use filtered water? I'm baffled. B-Dozer Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 supermarkets have it in the water section. People use it for ironing. don't use tap water, filtered or not. "maybe" if you boil it first, but I would buy some distilled 1 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted October 21, 2014 Super User Posted October 21, 2014 It's either in the laundry aisle (for irons) or in the baby food aisle. Sometimes both. 1 Quote

Zach Dunham Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I got mine at Shopright but have seen in other grocery stores. Sometimes the labels don't look much different from regular water. I got a gallon of Poland Spring distilled and it still had the same Poland Spring label color and all. 1 Quote
desmobob Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I get mine at the local pharmacy. I think they all have it. Tight lines, Bob 1 Quote

Super User *Hootie Posted October 22, 2014 Author Super User Posted October 22, 2014 Thanks a bunch guys. I found it in the "water isle", imagine that, at Meijers. Must have walked by it a hundred times before. I just associated it with auto supplies in my mind. I guess that's why they say, "think outside the box". I knew if I posted the question here, you guys could and would point me in the right direction. Thanks again everyone. Hootie Quote
