What are your thoughts on the 99 dollar models on sale at tw.

No. Those are the overseas models and the blanks used aren't very good, very hollow with very little response, my neighbor got one 2 weeks ago when they went on sale, it was a B-Day gift for his son and he sent it back, a lot better rods with better warranties at that price point.

You can get a Shimano Compre for that money and it´s going to be a better rod.

I recently got two of the Kistlers.  To me, they can't be beat at that price point.  I am not a fan of the 13 Rods.

I have one of the kistler pros , the 7'3 heavy action, and i really like the rod, it is a heavier rod than say a bps carbonlite that you can buy at the same price point since the pro is on sale , but in my opionion the kistler is more sensitive. The only bad thing i can say about the rod is that it is a bit heavy but to me it's a all around good rod for that price point.

the kistler for less than $100 is going to be hard to beat. i now own 4 of there rods and i don't think you'll be disappointed .

i did have an issue w/ my klx spinning rod but its on its way back to kistler and should be taken care of , all of my casting rods have been flawless.

The kistlers have the best feel to me out of all of my rods, including my Dobyns.  I prefer the KLX series but the lower end models are still great to me.  I had a *** rod and the handle felt thin and I just did not like the overall feel of it.
