Bucketmouth King Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Hey guys! I guess im over excited and wanted to share. I went out today to catch some fall action. And it sure was just that! The fish were hitting hard! I caught my pb on a black spinnerbait ($1 from walmart) and cut the tail from a black fluke to use as a trailer. They were pounding it ! Then I caught one bigger yet than the last! It was very thrilling. I wont post #s to save from embarrassment, i just started fishing in april and have become obsessed. 2 Quote

Super User everythingthatswims Posted October 13, 2014 Super User Posted October 13, 2014 Many a bass have fallen victim to the walmart spinnerbaits and buzzbaits Quote
Bucketmouth King Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Well my spinnerbait fell victim to a log later in the day. So since I was having luck with trying new things, and black seemed to be the color for the muddy water (less than 6" visability) I tied on a jig with a craw trailer and tossed it under a tree. Waited about a minute and when I went to drag it, one had the hook already in its throat. Probably my most exciting day fishing. And I go out at least 5 days a week. Quote

Try to keep a little line tension while your bait is falling/sitting under the tree so that you can feel if you get a bite. Many fish will strike a jig or texas rig on the fall or shortly after it hits the bottom. Quote

I did the same thing a few weeks back with a strike kind spinnerbait. 2 PBs only 5 minutes apart AND I was standing in the exact same spot haha Congrats 1 Quote
