Since we all started and say have found a new better way to fish by whatever source we learned it from, does it outdo the older ways or your old school tactics of fishing and baits more so, less or the same. I myself still use both new and old ways and bait's equally in my op.

some people might think that because it's newer tactics or bait's it's gonna do way better, but just cause it's older or might be outdated doesn't mean it doesn't work in my op. bait's ,techniques,gear,etc..

some go with newer ways and baits and put the old ways and baits aside, do you use both ways and baits ? what's your op?

Age has nothing to do with how effect a lure, except MAYBE that the bass have seen it a lot and therefore it is less effective. But heck people have been using stuff like spooks since the beginning of time...

Define old, or, define new.

Old like the Texas rig, Carolina rig, Split shot rig, weedless rig n´such ?

Or "new" like the shakeyhead rig ? hey ! wait a minute I´ve been shakeyheading baits since the 80´s from the past century, guess it ain´t that new ......or like dropshot rigging ? uhhhhh, you mean hook above sinker, right ? that has been around for .... well I already used that rig back in the 80´s too,

Or old like Heddon´s Sonics, Bayou Boogies and Rat L-Traps ? well, with the exception of Sonics the other two are still around.

"New" like senkos ? or old like French Fry worms ?

There's a lot of new stuff out there that I, like Raul, have used for a long time.

For example, the drop shot method I keep hearing about here. I did this as a teenager. When I considered its origins at all, I wondered if anyone else did this. It was just a way to get the worm to do what I wanted.

Spinnerbaits and such have not changed much.
