Dillo Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 There are traditional ways to rig plastics like Texas, Carolina, & wacky, but do you ever rig it differently? I took this tube and rigged it backwards so that the tentacles look like wings or legs of a bug. Caught a small bass on the first cast. How do you rig things differently? Quote
travis23 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Instead just buy a Fat Ika!! And just some advice...I would never use my guide as a bait keeper. 1 Quote

And just some advice...I would never use my guide as a bait keeper. got this for a buck in a 15 pack, so i just thought id try this. Also my rod doesnt have a hook keeper, but i make sure i never put the hook on the inside of the eye, always on the arms. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I love fishing a backwards rigged tube, it seems like sometimes it's the only thing that can get bit. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted October 9, 2014 Super User Posted October 9, 2014 Not sure how odd it is but wacky rigging a fluke bait has caught me some decent fish. Emulates a dying fish on the fall. Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted October 12, 2014 Super User Posted October 12, 2014 Instead just buy a Fat Ika!! And just some advice...I would never use my guide as a bait keeper. It's a lot cheaper to attach of bait keeper to a rod than it is to replace an eyelet. Quote

And as far as a tube goes have even rigged some up with a 3x treble with a bullet weight inside and the line going through the middle, killer action on the fall, use em alot for saltwater... Quote
