Fished hard on Sunday and it was great!  Early morning I went to a highland reservoir in western NC, tried to catch some largies, but they did not cooperate.  Caught 2 small ones.

After that, I met my dad and brother and we floated down the Little Tennessee River.  We were just fishing for anything that was biting, rooster tails and small plugs being the lures for the day.  I caught a few bluegill that were pretty big and a number of smallmouth on the smaller side.  Then my dad hooked into a really nice smallmouth in the better set of shoals and managed to land him.  While I wish it had been me (would have easily been a new PB smallmouth for me) it was exciting to watch the fight!

Awesome views on this stretch of the river.  Here are my brother and sister in law.

Love doing floats, just not much water to do them on around here. Fun to just put a small crank on and catch a little bit of everything.
