I cant speak for the tatula however I have read astonishing reviews on them,  I do however own a lews tournament mg on a duckett micro magic and its a great rig.  I really like the lews, its very smooth, cast great and it feels so natural in my hand and the handles feel more comfortable to me than any other brand reel handle.  You wont go wrong on either reel, both are great buys.

Tatula. Doesn't get much better than that at it's price point, plus there are TONS of awesome upgrade parts for it. Best value out there IMO.

i have never fished a Lews, but I own a Tatula. It casts like a dream, very very smooth, feels very solid. THe one negative I have is its a bigger profile. I don't so much care about the weight, but going from Gen 3 Revos and picking up a Tatula to fish, your hand feels the difference. Its pry not as noticeable to someone with bigger hands, but I have small hands so it stands out. Im pretty sure if I had all Tatulas it wouldn't be as noticeable, but if you have ever fished a Gen 3 Revo, you know how small it feels.

Where are you all finding the best deals on Tatula reels?  I have seen some comments on here about finding them close to the price of BPS Pro Qualifier…???

Had a lews tournament mg but I like the tatula better. The only thing better about the lews was that it was a lot smaller. Both are good reels

Walmart $124.48 for Tatula-R100XS

For reg Tat 100HS $102.32

Dang, the Walmarts around here don't even carry Daiwas, or Shimanos, or even Quantums.

To answer the OP, I am a Diawa guy, but I love my new LaserPro. Small, light and smooth not to mention it retails for under $100.

You have a great WalMart! The highest end reel at a WalMart around here is a Shimano Caenan.

Go to their website. Most of their products have free ship to store so you can just go in and pick it up.

BassPro also price matches Wal Mart, so be sure to keep that in mind when buying. They match Academy as well. Got my Tatulas from BPS for $92 a piece shipped after I applied a $20 promo and had them price match Wal marts price on the reel.
