Super User whitwolf Posted September 24, 2014 Super User Posted September 24, 2014 I say order some Vance. It's not a huge expense and If you end up liking them you've hit a homerun. 1 Quote
CarolinaBoy4Life Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I use them as a jig trailer and as a Texas Rigged craw. I use only Gambler Mega daddy's and RageTail Craw's and Lobsters when I'm fishing a craw style bait. Awesome bait's for sure. 1 Quote

How is the flapping action from the Mega Daddy's claws? Is that action comparable to a rage craw or paca craw? Are the claws buoyant enough to stand up? What size jig are you using for this thing? CarolinaBoy4Life Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I honestly feel the action is great. In comparison to a Ragetail the gambler is about on par but a little slower when it comes to the claws action and erratic flapping but I do feel they have a longer movement when they do flap if that makes any sense? I couldn't compare it to a paca craw since I have never used this bait. I fish it on larger jig's due to the size but I mainly fish it on a punch rig. Either with a Paychex punch skirt or the KO punch skirt from Gambler with a 1 ounce weight for the real thick stuff. Killer combo. Only other craw I'd use besides Ragetail! Quote

Good to know, the slower action makes sense, due to its larger proportions. I think I'll check them out and tinker with them for a bit. Quote
